The 30th Anniversary Grimsdyke Hikes
The Results are in...

The 30th Anniversary of this event turned out to be a record breaker - with 282 hikers taking part in the Junior competition and 107 in Open / Senior category.

Thanks to all the leaders, shadows, parents and helpers who make this event run as smoothly as it does!

It was a cold and frost couple of days - but the hard ground and clear skies made for some fast times this year.

Well done to our winners but also to everyone who took part.

Full results can be downloaded here: 2017 GRIMSDYKE HIKE RESULTS.XLSX

The Grimsdyke Hikes are fun and challenging tests of orienteering, navigation and endurance in the beautiful Chiltern Hills around the ancient and mysterious earthworks of Grim’s Dyke.

Open to Scouts, Guides and Explorers, there are one or two-day events depending on the age of the participants and the level of competition.

Test your map and compass skills, find the hidden check points, race against the clock... the hikes are as competitive as you choose, but always great fun.

The website explains everything but you can download most of what you need here or from the Downloads page.

There's also a flyer you can download to use with your troop, parents, carers and helpers.
